Shanghai Special Metal Co., Ltd. Shanghai Special Metal Co., Ltd. is one of the subsidiaries of China Special Metal Group Limited (hereinafter referred to CSM), which supplies metal and machinery products. Our group has strong manufacturing capability for steel castings, forgings, welded fabrications and other machines. Meanwhile, CSM provides high quality products and services for customers from all over the world. CSM has two main manufacturing bases in Luoyang and Changzhou. Luoyang manufacturing plant mainly produces castings and forgings of carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel, with an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons of castings and 20,000 tons of forgings. The maximum weight of steel casting is 192 tons. The forgings are mainly shafts, gears, bearings and rings. The plant can produce various rings with diameter less than 5 meters and shafts with length less than 12 meters and unit weight less than 35 tons. Main casting machines are electric arc furnaces of 3T*1, 5T*1, 20T*1, 50T eccentric furnace, 75T LF furnace with three 75T steel ladles, 70T vacuum degassing furnace, heat treatment furnaces of 6m*10m, 6.5m*11m, 7m*14m, 8m*14m. Main forging machines are 4000T hydraulic pressure machine, 3T free hammer, diameter 5m rolling-ring machine and coal gas heating furnace. Main castings and forgings are rolling-mill housings (weight 192 tons), slag pots, rudder horns for shipbuilding, frames, girth gears, wheel belts, oversize rings, shafts (0.5MT-80MT), rings, flanges and steel castings (maximum 275MT). Changzhou manufacturing base owns complete and advanced equipment and facilities. The main machines are vertical milling machine with diameter of 12.5m, height of 7m, weight capacity of 350 tons; NC heavy horizontal lathe with diameter of 7m, length of 20m, weight capacity of 300 tons; NC vertical lathe with diameter of 8m, height of 4.5m, weight capacity of 130 tons; vertical hobbing machine with 36 modulus; NC plate bending machine (80mm*3m, with pressure head), etc. Changzhou manufacturing base mainly produces cement machinery, mining machinery, harbor machinery, metallurgical equipment, water conservancy machinery, shield machinery, wind power generators, etc. We can make products based on drawings from customers. Especially, we have rich experience in marine steel casting & forging. We have passed related certifications issued by China Classification Society (CCS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LR), Bureau Veritas (BV), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and German Classification Society (GL) Our two factories have complete inspection equipment like N.H.O direct-reading spectrometer, chemical element analysis equipment, mechanical property tester, tensile strength tester, impact tester, magnetic particle inspection equipment, ultrasonic test equipment, etc. Our group also has a manufacturing base in Xi'an, which produces titanium products, such as titanium bars, wire, plates, sheets, tubes, pipes, forgings, castings and special fasteners.
